Grand Hotel Di Lecce

The word "Grand" in the name is more than justified. The hotel has retained the charm and style of a grand hotel of yesteryear that is not easily found today. The staff handle our large family group of eight very efficiently at the check end. Furthermore the staff was very attentive. The room and bath room were very spacious. The beds very comfortable. The hotel offers a good breakfast buffet including local food, which you take on the garden terrace by nice weather. Behind the terrace is a swimming pool. The hotel itself is located on the main street which leads from the train station towards the old center. The train station with some small shops is just 100 m away. To the old center it's a five minute walk.

Everything is excellent. The reception desk team is very pleasant and helpful, as well as breakfast team and cleaning ladies. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of food: grilled, fresh, and marinated veggies, scrambled eggs, quish, cold cuts , cheese, fresh fruits:apples,watermelon,,oranges,pineapples, varies drinks: water flat and bubbly, coffee and served to the table tasty csppuci ! Service is great and very pleasant. Thank you, teams !! Mind though that the property is older and hallways carpet has to be changed. Rooms are pleasant, panelledfloor, interior is stylish and bed mattrace is firm ! Space in closet is good,safe works well, windows are tall, new and fresh air can be let in ! Good space size. We recommend Grand Hotel to everyone ! Perfectly located, steps to the railway station, Castromediano Museum is very close and a must to visit!!, Old Town just 4 min ,and not far to bus terminal (8 min by taxi= 13 euro) to Matera via Taranto,Rome, Napoli...

Rooms are clean, spacious, neat, comfy linen, beautiful decor. I had a balcony to view beautiful sunset & sunrise. Jacuzzi bathtub. Staff are so friendly & helpful, and made me a very early breakfast to go. Pool and garden courtyard area is a like haven. Walking distance to train station & old city.

The customer service is excellent from reception staff to kitchen staff. They are more than happy to assist you with anything. Pool is fantastic. The breakfast bar has everything you wish for , from cereal, to fresh fruits, freshly cooked local specialities, sweet savoury, yoghurt, any type of coffee, we liked cappuccino. Parking is great, direct at the hotel, for a daily fee. The hotel is/was grand , now it is a bit tired and is being refreshed one step of the time. Great location to train station and old historic town. Highly recommend it.

The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The pool and green surrounds very relaxing with bar service. Breakfast was varied and enjoyed either inside or outside.5 minute walk to the old town with its wonderful architecture which came alive in the evening with many restaurants and bars. Fabulous location, old town easily walkable with numerous attractions including piazzas and amphitheatre.
